I had a shitty job working at a supermarket. They treated me like crap. TONS of responsibilities, dealing with idiot customers, harrassment from co-workers, the works, for minumum wage. Then i got a temp job (as I only had one month of free time anyway) the day after working as a typist in a courier company. They paid better, didnt treat their employees so bad and were friendly. To be short, try a Temp agency. They hire damn near anybody, and if you get lucky you get a long-term assignment. Try to avoid warehouses, they pay less and involve heavy lifting. |

You know, I dont bitch like a Jamesman alot about anything, but whenever i say that im a clerk, every asshole has to say "Yeah, like the movie". Just because someones an archeologist they dont go "hey, indiana jones" all the time. I mean my job is nothing to shit about, and I dont razz every costumer like the movie characters do. I know my job sucks. So, fuck you Drev, you head is as thick as Kevin Smith's Tanned Hide. |

You must BE demanding when you go for a job. Walk right up to the manager and say "I approve of the way you run this place, and I will be a valued member of your staff. I am open to work from this time to this time, and I can start ASAP. I am also open to sit down for a interview right now." Overwhelm them and such. And if they say you will be back in a day or two. |
