| mburbank | What I find most horrifying here (and it's no different in any war) Is that I'm now twice the age of these kids, and kids is what they seem like to me. I recall being their age and thinking I was pretty much done growing, fully formed mentally. That's natural, but it's also wrong. These kids lives had barely begun. I think if countries insisted there front line soldiers all be in their forties, war would be a much rarer thing. |
