yeah i thought it would try to shut off my ps2 automatically or something, i got scared and saved right away

the_dudefather as the mgs2 making of dvd says, i think its good in mgs2 that you see snake from another perspective and you can apprecheate him more.

think of it this way as well, big shell was raidens first mission, once
he has gone through as much as snake it will be a different story...

(it would still be cool to play as snake tho...)

Comrade Rocket it was like the Hideo in the psycho mantis fight in first game. I had heard that happened and i didnt think i would be so real looking. i actually got up for a sec, but then i read that it said hideo and i stepped back.

Freaky Sheek yeah, they were kind of strange, but so was the GAME OVER screen during one of the fights. I thought I had died, but then I saw I was still moving around. So confusing.

Those were good times.

The camo trailer for Snake Eater is nice.
The camo with the gator head scares guards

Comrade Rocket MGS2 was fun, but it was a total cock tease with that whole tanker as snake and the shell as raiden
Apr 12th, 2004 11:48 PM
Freaky Sheek I really wouldnt mind playing as big boss. The trailer (that reminds me of a James Bond opening) has a snake like person using a knife, and in MGS2 Snake says blades arent his style.

Rose made me mad whenever I wanted to save she ask a long ass question

lol, Raiden got molested by the president.

Yeah, because Snake Eater is set in the past, like 1950's.
Apr 12th, 2004 11:40 PM
DamnthatDavid Well, you get a total badass like Snake right?
Eats lead and shits bullets and all that. Unkept, unforgiving, who gives a hell type of guy. This is the type of guy who you know kicks ass. The kind that shaves dry with very dull knife.
Reminds me of Clint Eastwood in the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

Then you get Raiden, a long haired, blonde, hippie looking girl-man who looks like he graduated from some finishing school, and uses an electric razor because he gets razor burn.

At least some of the levels. It might pull the same shit like MGS2. Starting with Snake, giving you Raiden.

I've been going outta my way to say he doesn't

He's a character that really augments Snakes character. I think that the story unfolded around him in a bad way it wasn't anything really about the character other than his ungodly annoying girlfriend and his final fantasy-like flamboyancy. If they explained more about the past or had stuf revolve him more than every thing else i don't think people would hate him...

Freaky Sheek I really didnt think he was that bad, I thought it was funny when he showed up instead of snake.

The gamefaqs boards are full of raiden haters, though.
And for Snake Eater they think you get to play as Big Boss instead of snake :/

ScruU2wice Fox did that to Naomi didn't he? The Storyline was so deep in MGS, I think it woulda done some good if they didn't make the MGS2 so much parallel to the first one.

They even tried justifying it at the end with the AI people were talking to him about the S3 concept. If they just went into the AI concept more or into raidens past i think the story woulda been fuckin amazing. Instead they decided to divide it 2 ways and make things eriely alike to MGS1...

eggyolk that bastard
Apr 12th, 2004 10:27 PM
Freaky Sheek Yeah, Solidus killed Raidens parents
Then he adopted him
Apr 12th, 2004 05:59 PM
Rongi This isn't a joke thread, even though the question is pretty dumb

I didn't know he was adopted
Apr 12th, 2004 05:44 PM
Ninjavenom Yeah, he was just adopted by Solidus.
Apr 12th, 2004 05:12 PM
ScruU2wice I thought that Raiden was just the protege(sp?) of Solidus and was raised among other young children who'd become soldiers.

Edit: wait is this a serious thread or a joke thread because I lost count...

MGS question

If Raiden is Solidus' son, is Snake Raiden's uncle?
