ArrowX Its the BEST one in terms of effects but It was to short and rushed for my liking.

Really? I've read it several times and I always thought that they were about 5-6 feet tall.

Daphne The raptors were also 10 feet tall in the book, but I liked the movie better for the most part.

I love the first two movies, the third was awful, but I liked the dinosaurs (which is why we watch these movies, so durr) but I wouldn't buy it (it had me until the dinosaur ate the phone and that's what tipped them off).

And I agree with James, it's amazing how well these movies hold up, even 10 years later. I remember going to see it in theatres opening day when I was 15 (I skipped school to go) and just being so blown away by it that I saw it 5 more times over the summer.

ArrowX The Speilberg took a lot of creative liberty in that film. In the book Muldoon Doesn't die. Hammond gets eaten by compys. Gennaro (the lawyer Doesn't die) There are 8 Raptos and I think two get killed by Muldoon with an RPG and theres lots more.

But Its probably the best Book to movie ever made. The JP3 could have had a plot. The begining parts felt like a Faster paced rehash of the first movie

AChimp My class watched the movie on the last day of school in Grade 6. Some of my classmates, including the class retard, got scared and had to leave the room.

Their parents complained, too, but the principal was all, "your kid has all summer to recover."

Jixby Phillips I mostly got scared in the scene where they were in the kitchen and the raptors were trying to get them

Immortal Goat Sounds like what happened with me when I saw it the first time. Cept I didn't see another movie. I just went home with me dad. But yea, those effects are fucking amazing. Still some of the best work I've ever seen in a movie. Hands down one of my favorite movie series. (JP3 is only OK compared to the others)

Jurassic Park

I was at a friend's birthday party, and part of the party was everyone going to see Jurassic Park. So that was 11 years ago, and I would have been 9 at the time.

When the T-Rex scene came around, me, another kid, and the birthday boy's mother decided we needed to go see a less scary movie instead. That was The Secret Garden. I've never seen all Jurassic Park, to my recollection.

So after reading that 100 scariest movie moments piece, I remembered the T-Rex scene, and decided I was going to finally get around to watching the movie in full, which was today. So I just finished watching my VHS copy.

11 years later, those dinosaurs still hold up almost as well as anything you'd see in movies today. So does the tension. Fucking great movie.
