Supafly345 | The reason your computer stays bright is because the game sets the gamma higher and doesn't have a chance to set it back when it crashes. | |

I had the same problem with that game. After a while it just did that and I never found out how to fix it so I just kinda learned to live with it ![]() |

I recommend either reinstalling everything or not playing old games. ![]() |

Did you install anything else on the computer lately? The screen is bright because the gamma settings in the game are still in effect. Technically, the game is still running when it shows you the error. It's probably choking on a driver. |

Yeah, I tried all that stuff, it just seems like something suddenly collides with the game, but I don't see why any virus would be homo like that. My avatar is called Neko-Pan, and i've had variations of it since I joined I-Mockery. The one I have now is drawn by Sam but I edited it a bit. :/ |

Did you try reinstalling the game? Maybe that file it mentions just got corrupted over time and needs a refresh. Or will that delete your game history if you reinstall? Because that would suck. Maybe instead see if the file can just be dragged and dropped from the cd into the install folder. I like your av, btw. Is it bread with horns? |

Game keeps freezing. I say "game" because i'm hoping this happens with other games too so I can get an answer. My Jedi Outcast game hasn't frozen in multiplayer since I got it, which was like a year ago. That is until last week. I'll be playing normally and out of nowhere the game locks up, says JK2MP.EXE HAS ENCOUNTERED AN ERROR AND WILL NOW CLOSE. ![]() ![]() Then the Windows screen is incredibly bright and I have to restart to make it stop, or go back into the game. I can't tell what triggers it, but it seems like whenever it freezes there are 2 sound effects at the same time. I don't know if it's a driver problem, sound problem, virus. Just looking for a general direction to go in because this is the only game I like playing. ![]() |
