mburbank The only key to a true appreciation of me is having no money to give me. If any of you suddenlt became rich, you would discover that my writ5ting was no longer even remotely amusing.

mburbank Cosmo, you beat me to it.

Acid Logic, an e-magazine I did quite a bit of writing for (second only to I-mockery) asked me to write one. They have a few. Blogging was not quite the fad it is now back then. I declined as I felt it would take too much time away from other projects.

I may at some point change my mind, but for now, while I love the message board format, I don't want stuff I concider 'published' to be as unpolished as this, which I concider a form of conversation.

Thanks, though.

Cosmo Electrolux Max had a blog one time, but the doctor gave him an ointment and it went away.

Brandon Max, have you ever considered keeping a blog?

mburbank Oh, I actually don't think there was anything wrong with moving the date and making the transfer 'ceremony' private and unnanounced. The decision itself is good for security reasons.

I'm marvelling at the whole situation, where we've made such a mess that it astually makes sense to do it as quitely as possible on a different date.

Sort of like "Here, quick, you hold this bag of radioactive shit."

On a side note of triviata, Bremmer is retiring to the tiny town in Vermont my Mom lives in. I think she should cut his electricity and shell his house so he'll feel at home.

Brandon I actually think they made the right decision. A lavish handover ceremony on the exact date would have been like a giant magnet for terrorists, and removing the troops completely would leave the new government relatively impotent.

Cosmo Electrolux "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!"

Zhukov I don't think having the 'handover' on the actual date would make people feel any better about it.

But I do think there is going to be alot of pissed terrorists with nothing to do tommorow.
