Dubya hits close to home I grew up on the Iron Range, a line of small towns and hills in northern Minnesota known for its formerly prosperous (and still very significant) iron mining industry. People who live up there call themselves and each other "Rangers," and the Range has its very own unique Scandinavian flavor of backwoods culture. Hello, stereotypical Minnesotans, accents and all. (I'm different because my parents moved there from the Twin Cities, so I'm German and I talk normal). Our esteemed President visited Duluth, MN last Tuesday to greet his few supporters in the region (they really turned out for the rally, though). Apparently, I now come from the "Iron Ridge." What a dipshit. Way to endear yourself to potential voters. There's no way he's winning Minnesota, especially after that. |
