farbour I've considered Sonic Youth to be my favorite band for the last three years but unfortunately have yet to see them. They're playing at The Rave in Milwaukee in eight days but I'm broke and I'll miss that show. waah waah...maybe I should've found a job so I can afford these things. Dole First gig I ever saw was sonic youth playing for free on Brighton beach in 1986. It was groovy

ummm, sonic youth used to be an absolutely incredible band, live. i've personally never seen them in person, but i have a stack of bootleg videos and anything from the "evol" years is completely unbeatable.
i would have actually finally went to seem them this year since wolf eyes and hair police are opening on some dates (chicago!), but i seriously can't bring myself to pay that much for a fucking ticket (not to mention the crowd that would be there. oh lord...)!

nothing4buddha my friend went to their show in san francisco (i couldn't go because my band was playing the same night X-( ... )
anyways yeah- she said it was pretty good, but definitely not their best tour. sonic youth has never been too great live :/
