Again, I think they should paint Bush as being inextricably conjoined to Rove and Cheney. It's too late for Bush to dump Cheney, who has never been popular. From here on, their ads should never mention Bush without the words Cheney and Haliburton in the same sentence. Imply profit and crime, whether or not it's true. I don't see it happening though. I predict that Bush will be elected and will turn the Supreme Court into a right-wing kangaroo court, widen the gap between rich and poor, and insure Islamic extremist revenge against United States. I guess all I can hope for is that this administration will damage the country to such an extent that politicians of their ideological bent may never recover from the popular backlash. |

it's funny that this is finally being said. as much as i love my aunt, any time i mention something that i see as a flaw in the bush administration her response to me is: "but it's not his fault." i don't get it. if it's not his fault, whose fault is it? |

The RNC this year was -- despite the moderates they paraded out onto the stage for the first couple of nights -- an exercise in energizing the base. They tore Kerry to shreds, and it didn't turn off the voters one bit. Bush actually got a huge bounce in the polls. I'm glad he's finally going on the offensive. I just hope he has the cajones to follow through and keep pounding away. |

conus | Now they need to deconstruct his reputation for decisiveness in a barage of TV spots calling it nothing more than a carefully crafted public persona for an inexperienced man who will not make a move that isn't approved by Carl Rove or Dick Cheney. They should use Cheney and Rove. | |

FINALLY, someone writes Kerry a soundbite "This president has created more excuses than jobs. His is the excuse presidency -- never wrong, never responsible, never to blame," -Kerry I know, I know, it's just another bit of pointless sloganeering, but people RESPOND to pointless sloganeering and Kerry's attempt to remain above that only make him look more aloof to people who already think he's aloof. I was personally leaning toward deffining W. with the phrase "The Retard Presidency" but I guess this will have to do. |
