Nobody needs to beg for said photos. They are hardly rare and easy to come by.

Helm Haha the wreck martial art deal was class. One of the best threads on this board. We have it forever immortalized in thread backups, right? *checks* Yup it's there.

ziggytrix [pretend edit]

Anyway, it wasn't redundant as spring shoes aren't in the movie - just the game.

Also, this is a REALLY stupid thing to argue about, but I would expect no less from someone who'd argue for a week about a martial art he just made up.

The point is twofold:

1). It's true.

2). Yours was redundant. Once I figured out that Rog was talking about the kid from Goonies, I made the connection.

Mockery Goonies 2 was one of my favorite NES games :o

Anonymous Phasers were in the game, Star Trek: The Next Generation.

McMock I loved the goonies, and so did all the kids at the birthday party I gave when I turned eleven. It is only now, when I am wise and can comprehend things in a better way, than I've learned that the real treasure they brought back from the cave was love. And also sloth.

FS I can't begin to stress how succesful Star Trek would've been if Data had been full of nifty gadgets and stuff. They could've made the whole show about him fighting some hamfisted criminal organization with his cousin Penny and her stupid dog.

Data

Rog and I had an interesting discussion about Data:

Me: Did I ever tell you that I managed to beat Ghoul School a while back?
Rog: :o no
Rog: how was the endin?
Me: It was meh. You save the girl you were trying to rescue, and it shows the two of you outside the school, and you put your arm on her shoulder, but she just takes a step away from you.
Rog: jeez, even after all that your character can't get any action. it's so true to life it's scary
Rog: :-(
Me: Well, he did have a mohawk.
Rog: that should be worth extra points to a girl
Me: You'd think so. Well at least you got a bunch of neat shoes out of the deal, like spring shoes, and shoes that let you walk on the ceiling.
Rog: damn, that kid probably became Data
Me: ... I don't follow.
Me: Did Data have spring shoes?
Rog: he had slick shooes, but i bet he had spring shoes too
Rog: he had a million gadgets and we were only treated to a few of 'em in that movie
Me: Ah yes, the movie.
Rog: yus
Me: I'll bet Data didn't use a hamburger as a weapon, though.
Rog: no, that would be chunk. actually no, chunk would eat the burger, he couldn't possibly part with it, even to defend himself from certain doom
Me: Was he in Insurrection?
Rog: don't know :o
Me: Well what was his job on the Enterprise?
Me: My guess: cook.
Rog: beats me, never watched the show :o
Rog: i only watched the original star wars and next generation
Rog: the rest i pretty much ignored
Me: Well then who is this Chunk person!?
Rog: ...haven't you seen GOONIES
Rog: data and chunk
Rog: from the goonies
Me: Ah. Well didn't you know that Chunk wasn't in Star Trek!?
Rog: you seem to have confused the data i was speaking of, with the data from star trek, nerdboy.
Me: Look, man, I did think it was weird that you thought the punk-looking kid from Ghoul School would turn into an android, but you're a weird guy.
Me: And yes, I didn't think said android had slick shoes, but I have been wrong before.
Rog: john, and i mean this with the most kind and caring intentions, use that money i give you for the articles to seek some help.
Me: Hey, I didn't know that kid was named Data. I just thought he was called "the Asian kid from Temple of Doom". Doktah Jones! Doktah Jones! Indeeee!!
Rog: And that's why you're unfit to care for yourself anymore. You now require 24-hour surveillance.
