Aye, the best version was like 4 or 5, when the Iraqi's still had personal "booby-trap" mines. Best weapon ever. Just sprinkling them in the door ways, and watch the fun. |

Its about a year till BF2 is out. There is a new version of DC out (DC Final) which i will have to check out. .7 was a pretty good release but had alot of things worong with it. Problem is most of the original DEV team was hiered by DICE to help making BF2 so they did not work on DCF and only a few DEVs and testers where left ot continue work on it. Im not expecting too much from it. |

| DamnthatDavid | Yeah, Desert Combat is cool also, but with Battlefield 2 in the making... I just don't see the point in reinstalling it. |

Forgotten Hope This is one awesome BF1942 Mod, changes the game into something realistic. Planes realistic weapons (50 cals, 20mm etc) and carry only 1 or two bombs. Depending on class. The bombs are also realisticlly powerful. The planes also now carry different bombs, depending on the plane class. From small 250 pounders, to giant 1000 pound bombs. There are also about 5x the ammount of plane types now. Tanks have stronger armor, and are less likely to tip over on a dime. More tank types also. From the Panzer Mark V, to the dreaded Super Tiger. Ships have been revamped. Battleships now have spotter planes that luanch from catapults. You can use the small cannons on Subs, and destroyers have better AA. The game is just awesome! Everything historically accurate. |
