James The time thing I was talking about is how "it" happens exactlay 1 hours, 42 minutes, and 12 seconds into the movie. This refers to the 28 days, 6 hours, 42 minutes and 12 seconds.

It's fantastic.

Rongi I was going to write a parody of Donnie Darko called Donnie Darkie. It was going to be a blaxploitation film

I decided not to because it is a really bad idea

KidneyStone that is why i want to see the directors cut..because it will be longer.
The director was forced to cut scenes obviously and unless you look
really deeply into the movie or watch the extras the film isn't very
coherent.Since i like what i saw i would like to see the ideas
developed and not what was meant to be watched my people with the attention span of a goldfish

James I do not like the director's cut because it will fuck up the length of the original film, apparently.

November 01, 2004 - Fox Home Entertainment will release the long-rumored Donnie Darko Director's Cut on DVD On February 15, 2005, for a suggested price of $26.98.

The cult film stars Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal, Mary McDonnell and James Duval. Jake plays high school student Donnie, who has visions of a giant evil rabbit that orders him to commit acts of violence and predicts the impending end of the world.

The film will sport a 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer and Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. The new director's cut includes an audio commentary with writer/director Richard Kelly and Kevin Smith, a production diary of the film with optional commentary by director of photography Steven Poster, a storyboard-to-screen featurettes, They Made Me Do It Too - The Cult of Donnie Darko featurettes and #1 Fan: A Darkomentary.

Sorry, no cover art as yet.

everything sounds good...better than the last DVD. (through I did like the 1st commentary track, trailer, and music video on the original dvd)
