Sigh. I agree with Willie that Johnny Depp looks too young. But Wonka's not supposed to be all that old either. He's *getting* old, which is why now is the time to find a child to take over the factory. He can help bring the child up with reverence for the magic of the chocolate factory. So Willy Wonka's like 50 (only 10 years older than Johnny Depp). He can train the kid for fifteen years and retire at 65 confident that the factory is in good hands. |

Eh... watching that trailer makes me think that this movie will just make people appreciate the old one even more.

maybe the chocolate makes him look really young  or making him old would make him look like a peodiphile or something (luring children into a magical factory using chocolate and such) |

thats becuase wonka's supposed to be F*CKING OLD god dammit  wtf how the hell are they gonna handle the "i'm getting to old charlie you take over the factory ;_;" bit (SPOILERS LOL) i mean is he gonna be dying from AIDS or something b/c that would work cause he totally looks gay now

I don't really think Depp will make the best Wonka, nothing will beat the original, he looks a little too odd in this movie. That said, it's still going to be a must-see. |

silly me im just trying to remember the old movie, do we ever see the other kids alive after they get kicked out? or does wonka promise to bring them back to normal, but has them secretly murdered because they know to much of his candy secrets |
