imported_I, fuzzbot. Dubai is the Las Vegas of the Middle East. Bahrain is just where Saudis get all the alcohol and hawt Albanian prostitutes.
Dec 22nd, 2004 03:02 PM
El Blanco I thought Bahrain was sort of like Las Vegas for the Middle East. Where people could get out all those vices and live in decadence without worring about being executed or being subject to fundamentalism.

Sort of an agreed upon nuetral spot.

Anyway, ya, I actually go with his first point, but his last quote is a bad idea. You will always need people on the ground.

imported_I, fuzzbot. Oh who am I kidding? No really, who? Ever since we became a Kingdom 3 years ago we've been even more corrupt.

IF A SHIITE PERSON IS READING THIS, THANKS A LOT. I WOULD LIKE MY CAR BACK.

Helm Well the original quote from your friend sounds pretty solid to me. Kerry would still be all about the 'war on terror' and gore also, probably. I don't see what upsets you so.
Dec 22nd, 2004 08:38 AM
imported_I, fuzzbot. Kingdom of Bahrain, yes.
Dec 22nd, 2004 07:17 AM

I have visted him before and I am in utter awe of that place.

Maybe because I've been living in Bahrain all my life?

KevinTheOmnivore I think you're a pretty shitty friend.
Dec 21st, 2004 09:14 PM
imported_I, fuzzbot. Yes. The only reason I'm still friends with him is because he has an apartment in the garden district in New Orleans.

It is fucking gorgeous.
Dec 21st, 2004 09:11 PM
Cosmo Electrolux your friend is a fucking idiot...you know that, right?

imported_I, fuzzbot. In ''this city'', meaning Fallujah.

imported_I, fuzzbot. Then check this one e-mail:

The fliers have been dropped in the city.

It's gonna get knocked down now.

FINALLY.

Thank god.

This was one of my biggest gribes about this war. I was hoping Bush would turn up the intensity after re election.

He's gonna stop sacrificing our troops for political purposes.

Letting our technology fight now is the best direction to take.

Anyone that stays in that city is simply asking for death.

PS.

The future will reveal all the things Clinton did to mar the country...

History won't look too kindly on a president who lied under oath repeatedly, was impeeched, and sold military secrets to China, and had no problem taking bribes from organizations with terrorist ties...

Clinton "keeping us out of trouble" is a real big misnomer.

He was 'offered' Bin Laden several times, with evidence of bombings and terrorism on american soil, and he declined. He left Bin Laden in power.

How did that "keep us alive" ? Bin Laden's non-capture lead to the death of many people...

And Clinton selling military secrets to China for bribes (thats called treason), that certainly won't be helping to keep us "out of trouble" in the future...

That's true too!

imported_I, fuzzbot. Someone from high school whom I still keep in touch with.

Ever since we have been discussing this chaos he has been giving me this whole ''Don't blame him! He's doing the best job he can! Why don't you guys go say the same stuff about JFK! He's responsible for bay of pigs, and going into Vietnam! And from then on Kennedy kept ordering sec. of defense McNamera to add more and more, more and more troops, and the whole theory that the fall of south Vietnam to the communists would threaten the security of the west, and that ho Chi minh was a rough "equivalent" to Fidel Castro. and as we know that war was not declared on Vietnam at any point, that all these military actions must be and were by decree of "executive order" by the president therefore, its pretty easy to explain and tell that JFK 'started' vietnam, from an American history perspective.''

Well he didn't word it like that but the 'facts' he stated are still there.
Dec 21st, 2004 08:48 PM
Zhukov Gore would have declared 'war on terror', Kerry wouldn't have pulled out of Iraq, and plenty of servicemen do believe in their cause.

You can quote me if you like.
Dec 21st, 2004 08:41 PM
Stabby What idiot are you quoting?

Some people are morons.

Quote:
And you believe that this would have been different with a different president? That Gore wouldn't have declared a "war on terror" after 9-11? That the intelligence that Bush saw, that made congress say "yes, go to war" wouldn't have been there?
that if Kerry had won, he would have pulled the troops out? he was ging to send 40,000 more troops! And he voted to go to Iraq!

Plenty of people in Washington have children in Iraq.

And plenty of servicemen believe in their cause. They signed up to join the armed forces, knowing they might lose their lives.

I agree, the situation is grim, but I think blaming it on the president is just ignorant. Anyone else would have done the same, in the same situation with the same information. It's pussies like Kerry that vote to go to war and then say "Well I didn't *really* believe in it" that fuck things up.

You are projecting all your frustrations about the current state of things onto one person which is ridiculous. Maybe you haven't taken government yet, but when you do, you'll realize that there are many people responsible for making decisions.
Seriously, where should I even begin?

What sources are these idiots relying on?
