soundtest anybody know where to find pro remixes of classic game tunes? unless my memory is shit, BACK IN THA DAY i used to always hear about promo cds released in japan with remixed versions of classic game music (usually by the same composers of the original)... anyone know of anywhere one could find such gems in a centralized location? or anything of high quality? ideally, classic game tunes minus the creative spin* ... simply the original but updated...

*(i.e. the original slightly altered with an amen breakbeat)

i say pro not to be a jerk, but because i just downloaded a gig of remixes from that overclocked site and they all really, really hurt my feelings :(

It's real simple.
I'd like to read it if i've never heard it before. It's a lot better than turing them into wavs. :/

I'd really appreciate that.

Final Fantasy (from 4 to 8)
Mega Man 2 (I love most of the overclocked remixes of MM2 songs)
Guilty Gear series
Super Mario Bros (if, for anything else, to hear the Mr. Bungle cover of the songs from it... bloody fantastic!)
Kid Icarus (the labyrinth theme in particular)

Ninjavenom Megaman X has some "phat jams", as the kids call them. Also do not forget the almighty Castlevania, Lament of Innocence and CV3 in particular. Disgaea also had some memorable ones. So memorable that after 200 hours of playtime, i have absorbed them like the blob. I could recite the entire OSV to you. :-/
