Immortal Goat I won't, but if you don't stop on your own, the viruses will.

sports I re-installed AVG Free Edition and ran it like 2 days ago. and it said I had 36 trojan horses/viruses! it automatically? healed 29 of them. :/ but i have these things on my desktop now.

AVG7DOS....
AVG.EXE
avi7.001
avi7.000
datadir
avi7.002
SYSTAB.RST
miniavi.000
microavi.avg
index
miniavi.001

I also upgraded to Ad-Aware SE, and unlike last time, it works.

Raize I haven't heard much about AVG. I think they provide a free standalone virus checker, not an installable version. Basically, you run it whenever you think there's something wrong.

If you want a free resident scanner, try Panda's or the Nod32 one (my favorite, but you have to keep uninstalling/installing).

I personally use McAfee VirusScan for free (provided to me by an employer). I'd see if your school or work offers you a free home version, or if you can leech one from someone you know.

sports Guess I have no viruses then, huh? When I downloaded, ''Ad-aware SE'', It said I had like...1000 plus crap on it, and everytime I tried to hit ''fix/clean'' it would freeze. I got rid of it.

Anonymous you need to install some viruses, avg only actually installs itself if it finds a need to.

AVG Free Help.

I downloaded this ( It's a Anti-Virus Software thing) and it's not working. Do I need to uninstall Norton AntiVirus 2003 for it to work? And why the hell does it cost money to re-new Norton?
