Dole In fact I saw the trailer for this alongside a whole host of shite looking trailers: wedding crashers, the unleashed...at least the League of Gentleman movie that I actually went see was ace.

Dr. Boogie Anyway, as Dole was saying, this movie looks like pure crap.

Emu Maybe Ju-On's plot was just lost on me. I didn't get a damn thing about that movie. I guess some guy killed his wife and child and cut a kitten's head off and they were pissed about it so they made other people go catatonic because THAT'S HOW YOU GET REVENGE.

Since Ringu was made by the same guy that did Dark Water (BIG SURPRISE!) that's not too much of a shock, though I never saw the original version. But a lot of people have said similar things about The Ring being better than Ringu. The Ring 2, on the other hand...

As for The Grudge, I refuse to believe that film is better than the Ju-On series. Even though it's the same director and everything. Americanizing Ju-On just makes it lose something that made the originals far more horrifying.

You're off your mash mate.

The trailer for Dark Water looked absolutely dull as fuck.

Emu The American Ring was better than the Japanese Ring, and so was the Grudge. I don't see why this wouldn't be.

James I saw the original Japanese version, and I thought it was the most boring piece of shit. You figure out the "mystery" too early. And for a horror film, there are NO scares at all. There's a build up to something happening, and you end up CREATING your own scares by expecting something to happen and bracing yourself for it, and then nothing happens. NOTHING.

The American remake can only be better.

Spectre X I never liked Pirates of Dark Water.

I don't know why.

I think it was the flying monkey.

Dr. Boogie
Dark Water

"Honey, there's water everywhere! And our Homeowner's Insurance doesn't cover flooding!"

"THE HORROR!!!"

Edit: Also, this movie has nothing to do with the Pirates of Dark Water.
