As stupid as it sounds, it seems that Ratner seriously hates the X-Men franchise, and his intention IS to damage it by making a terrible film. All in spite of Singer or some shit.

Chojin Why would this be a good idea by any stretch of the imagination? Why can't he just make his own movie about this stupid idea rather than ruining someone else's? This is like if Jackson decided to put a wacky token black guy in the Fellowship.
