Yes, you aren't supposed to go the way of the lake in Tallon Overworld until you get the grapple beam. There are about three different elevators to Magmoor caverns. You know the room you killed the plant flower bug thing in? Well, there's a round-about way to get to the bottem of a shaft adjacent to it. You need the spider ball to get up said shaft, but you don't get that for a while. However, there is a path to Magmoor caverns before the shaft. Go there. |

| timrpgland | Obviously you are missing something. I don't remember exactly where to go at that point (it is magmoor) but I remember the vines blocking the door and that you had to go a different way. You don't get the grapple beam for quite a long time it is one of the later items you get. It has nothing to do with the grapple. |

THEN WTF!?!?! I HAVE SEARCHED EVERY ROOM OVER AND OVER AND I'M NOT MISSING ANYTHING.  There is, however, space pirate activity in Tallon Overworld, where you find the open phazon canisters, but I can't get across the lake without the grapple. |

I saved after the battle. I'm just restarting the game. I'll get through the game really quickly, knowing exactly what I need to do. |

Although that last bit was very motivating, get used to it, because I'm not changing it. Anyway, just turn off your game and start back in the last Save Station you saved in, and don't return to that area, because you obviously shouldn't be there yet. |

You probably either forgot to pick up an item left behind, or maybe you're overlooking a small morph ball slot. There should be a way out. And you don't get the Grapple Beam for, like, another 8 hours, so don't listen to the Unseen. |

| The Unseen | what if you just restart it from the flower guy and remember not to go back to that room.... anyways the grapple beam is one of the last items you get so you definantely took a wrong turn |

Metroid Prime help... Okay, I just beat the giant flower-catepillar whatever the hell it was and I left the transport site. The problem is, the door I left through does not open back up and the only other entrance is blocked by vines which can not be destroyed. The transport is to the magmoor caves north, I beleive. I know I need to be there because I keep reading pirate activity in that area and all other areas that havent been touched need the grapple to advance. I can't get back into that room. If no on here knows I am going to restart the game. That's about 2 1/2 hours total game time wasted.
