Blues Brothers 25th Anniversary Release (In theaters)

I pulled my usual crowd of friends together last night, and dragged them all off to watch the 25th Anniversary Release of Blues Brothers in the theaters. Pre-movie, they had a sattelite live feed with all the old directors, some of the band members, James Brown, and Dan Akroyd. It lasted 20 minutes, then there was a 10 minute intermission before they started the movie. And they totally fucked it up.

Somehow the movie theater managed to screw the movie around so much, that the audio track for the Brother's Grimm was being played for Blues Brothers, and John Belushi's first words in the movie where, and I quote, "Graaaaaaaarrrrr" the sound somehow matched up perfectly for John to utter forth a low, terrible growl.

For 10 minutes we watched as John and Dan spoke of monsters, while driving a car that sounded like horses running.

After they finally got the correct soundtrack playing, the sound kept disappearing off and on for 10-20 second intervels throughout the entire movie.

Otherwise, watching it on the big screen was cool.
