in the early days of man, it is suspected that beer was first discovered when grain left to steep in rainwater fermented in the sun. even today the taste of guinness is a testament to this theory.... |

Just that Guinness have such a good PR dept that all Darks, Porters, & Stouts have to be compared to them. Despite Guinness being rather mediocre. ![]() |

Beamish Have any of you tried Beamish Stout? I drank it all the time in Europe, but now I've found it here in Bloomington. It's basically a Guiness knock-off, but I think it's a bit better. Very good stuff. |
