Krythor The first series of Red Dwarf when it was just some guys on a spaceship trying to amuse themselves was easily the best. I can't be doing with all of the monsters and aliens.

But this is the Stella thread, and you two jerks should be watching it. I'm in the UK too, and I download it, so you've got no excuses.

MetalMilitia But not after it got rubbish around series 4 or 5 (i forget) when they got rid of rimmer.

Slinky Ferret It sounds like there is alot of money being wasted on only one or two series of anything before being dropped.

League of Gentlemen (if its the same as we have over here) is a very dark form of comedy which to be honest I don't find funny, just disturbing. Its very clever, but not my cup of tea.

If only you lot had seen the british series of Red Dwarf, I think you would like that.

Krythor I almost wish they had a catchphrase and more sex jokes in every episode for viewers, but really I wish that everyone would stop being cunts and appreciate it for what it is.

Rez drawn together is so, so crap.

i'm pretty pissed about stella getting the shove-off though. thay show is so goddamned hilarious i was appalled that my "friends" actually were offended by it.

Oct 10th, 2005 12:02 PM
Ninjavenom Me too. If it's animated, chances are that i like it, though, so i don't know what that says to everyone ;-/

whoreable on a somewhat related note, I was watching some episodes of the state recently. I was absolutley amazed at how funny that show still is, despite being 12 years old it holds up quite well and is even better than i remebered. I cant wait for that dvd.

ArrowX its just taking the re-used "Kids looking show with an adult wtist" and actually managing to make it look gayer than it really is.
Oct 9th, 2005 11:13 PM
Esuohlim Because it's shit
Oct 9th, 2005 11:10 PM
maggiekarp I only got to see five minutes of this show, but I'm gonna rent the DVD when it comes out.

Why does everyone on the internet hate Drawn Together
Oct 9th, 2005 02:14 AM

mburbank I really, reaaly liked Stella, and would have loved to have seen the first season rerun.

But unfortunately, nothing must stand in the way of Mind of Mencia being on every tikme you turn on CC. It must take over each and every available time slot the way Chappelles show did, except it must not be funny evcen the first time you see it.

SO IT IS WRITTEN! SO SHALL IT BE!

James League of Gentlemen sucked and was just a syndication pickup. Mr. Show was on HBO.
Oct 4th, 2005 08:03 PM
adept_ninja was comedy central ever good? The only memorys I have of the tv station is it dropping everything such as stella, leauge of gentlemen, Mr.show and such.
Oct 4th, 2005 05:10 PM
Blaber66 I miss Stella. My sister asked about it, and I said it was canceled because Michael Ian Black was a homosexual and the others killed him because of that. It must've came true.

ScruU2wice yeah that's honestly usually the best hour of television on TV. I am going to try to schedule classes around it next semester.

Emu I remember when Stella came out I estimated how long it would be before CC relegated it to the black hole that is the 1-2 central/2-3 eastern hour when they play Strangers with Candy and UCB. They did it sooner than I thought.
Sep 30th, 2005 01:18 PM
James The next airing of Stella is apparently October 14th at 2:30pm.
