Same with unpatriotic. It's like saying one is unterrorist, or unIraqi, or unFrench. IT'S BULLSHIT!

Sorry but I listen to a lot of media and it's on my nerves.
That makes you unAmerican, or is it unpatriotic?

El Blanco What did Gen Franks have to say about all this?

kellychaos Consider also, though, that it's mostly army on the ground over there and that Franks is the head commander in the theater as far as the Army goes. I'm not saying that the other branches aren't in danger but ... come on ... there IS a difference.

El Blanco Just so you know, a lot of the guys whining are retired commanders. And its just Army, no one from the other branches have voiced any descent.

kellychaos I was in the army but I won't pretend to know the tactics of an operation of this scope. I confess, though, that I am confused that, for a war wherein the objectives seem much hard and there is nowhere near, the pre-"ground movment" air strikes, that they are using less than half the troop strength than what they had used during the Gulf War.

While I can understand his frustration and don't doubt Frank's integrity or his sincere concerns that he and his men are successful and safely return home, I have to question the tactic of going on international television and "showing his cards", so to speak, to the Iraqi leadership. Is he appealing to the American people? Well, the opinion of the American people's opinion sure hasn't seemed to make an impact on government actions so far.

Rumsfeld or Army commanders?

Rumsfeld's Design for War Criticized on the Battlefield

By BERNARD WEINRAUB with THOM SHANKER The New York Times

V CORPS HEADQUARTERS, near the Kuwait-Iraq border, March 31 Long-simmering tensions between Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld and Army commanders have erupted in a series of complaints from officers on the Iraqi battlefield that the Pentagon has not sent enough troops to wage the war as they want to fight it.

Is Rumsfeld unAmerican for crafting a strategy the Pentagon strongly disagrees with

OR

Are Battlefield Commanders unAmerican for airing their greivances publicly?

Did Rummy do more damage to the troops with his strategy

OR

Are battlefield Commanders giving succor and encouragement to the enemy by allowing themsleves to be interviewed by the press

AND

Since Iraqis watch CNN, why was Peter Arnett fired for saying on Iraqi TV what our own Commanders said to the New York Times?
