An Actual Joke from my opening monologue: "Robert Guillaume. You know what that says? Too proud for Sherman Helmsley, to cheap for Bill Cosby." |

mburbank | About Ten years ago, Scott, Dororthy and I hosted the Graniteers. That's an award show for the New Hampshire advertising industry. The year before they'd had Robert Guillome, TV's Benson. | |

Oh, and Hobo? Dead folks? Pretty much all I'll be talking about. Pretty much all there is to talk about when talking about the North Shore of Boston. Why? Our best times are behind us. I think that will be the selling point of this tourism related project. VISIT THE NORTH SHORE! OUR BEST TIMES ARE BEHIND US! |

Believe me, I did ten years of time in the Museum phone center leading up to my current gigs, and my freelance work has been for free as often as for money in order to make and maintan the connections I have now. And I still end up making shit money for the time I put in. Not that I'm complaining at all, I feel very lucky actually. Just pointing out that the ground work to even get this far was lengthy and often seemed hopeless. Which is all a way of recomending lengthy seemingly hopeless work. My point? I have no idea. Basically, don't kill yourself and eventually it might pay off. I think. AND I COULDN'T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT I-MOCKERY! |

It's going to be fairly simple. It's a collection of short pieces about North shore towns, one story per town, based around some interesting factoid of historical interest. I need to reseacrh and write 30-40 very short pieces (one to three minute monlogues), hire a few actors and a studio and then track each mono with music and ambient sound. If you've done something like this before, email me and we can talk. I'm in the most basic planning stages right now and my biggest problem is I have no idea how to price it out for the proposal. |
