Fathom Zero I digged the Jim Gaffigan special.
Also the Titus special, but I saw him on Showtime in April.
Good Stuff.
Feb 5th, 2006 09:50 PM
xbxDaniel I decided that I'd try Gaffagin out, but his bit on T.V. is exactly like the one on one of his older CDs. Which is annoying to me.

Jeff The Ninja I like Dane Cook. I First saw him on the canadian Stand Up show Just For Laughs and he did his bit on the Speak and Spell and other Games. I thought that It was Hilarious. But Yeah, hes pretty Vulgar. I want to get a Emo Philips stand Up routine, that guy is AWESOME.

Dr. Boogie Me, I like Sean Cullen.
Feb 5th, 2006 06:18 PM
sspadowsky Sean Rouse
Andy Andrist
Auggie Smith
Brett Erickson
Doug Stanhope
Travis Lipski

Two of these guys have been on Comedy Central. The rest, you will probably never see there. They are all brilliant. Since Comedy Central won't tell you to check them out, I'm telling you.

red8ge lewis black is pretty dam funny

Ninjavenom i meant that i don't this his jokes are totally stolen, though i think i know the ones you mean. It only bothers me if it is a direct rip off, like Chris Rock taking Bill Hicks' joke about how when you become president, they sit you in a room and show you the kennedy assassination from an angle you've never seen before.

GADZOOKS I'm sorry I have to rephrase something.

When I said "Dane Cook was a joke stealer, including Louis CK" I mean to say Dane Cook stole joke from other comedians including Louis CK.

But I guess he just "thought up" 3 bits that ridiculously similar to jokes found on a Louis CK album a few years ago. Sure he was clever enough to tweak them to make them his own, but to take it all from the same CD.

But joke stealing isn't that big of a comedy crime. His biggest crime was his terrible apperance on Saturday Night Live.
Feb 4th, 2006 03:47 AM
Ninjavenom Are you sure he's a joke thief, and not the same kind of guy who thought of the same kind of joke? Just because someone does the same joke as someone else does not mean they stole the joke.

Chojin I have a rip of his Harmful If Swallowed DVD and I think it's excellent :< Especially his older bit about restroom stalls where he performs a flying dragon kick across the stage.

I'm gonna go make an animated gif of that.

Dane Cook was in that new movie waiting. He was on the insomniac special with Dave Attell (Duh), Greg Giraldo and some other comic.

He did a pretty funny bit about the price is right. And he kicked the stool which made me lol.

he has neck tattoos cuz he is EXTREAME

ScruU2wice Stella was great

but every 16 year old is gay for Dane Cook, I don't think anyone else really had a chance unless chapelle was in the running.

It's all just a popularity contest..

GADZOOKS Dane Cook is pure garbage, I was on a train once and I overheard kids bragging about how they had his most recent CD on their IPOD.

Plus he steals jokes, including Louis CK.

I still say Zach Galifianakis and Demetri Martin have the best comedy central specials out there.

Ninjavenom Yeah, i thought it was annoying. In his other special he used it sparingly, and i thought it was funny as hell when he did, but it's overkill now.

"You don't use Mayonnaise? Why? Is it okay if i use mayonnaise?"
Jan 31st, 2006 10:56 PM
ScruU2wice plus most of Jim's bit was about food...

The wierd voice thing is like the staple of his bit though, if you don't like it you won't think any of it's funny

Ninjavenom I still think Dane is funny. He has a few bombs now and then, but so does everyone. I think he is starting to get a bit of an ego though ;_;

Also, i thought Jim's special was just annoying. I loved his half-hour special, but in this one he kept doing his "i'm saying what some people are thinking" voice and it worked out to like a 3/1 voice/joke ratio.

Also, Louis CK is indeed one funny bastard.

My favorite was the jokes he with the sheets of paper...

"Double hawk"

he's coming to chicago sometime soon and I'm gonna ask him what his secret is because he doesn't look like he's 30 at all

Mockery Dane Cook had a great first comedy CD.

His second album I listened to once and haven't listened to it again because it was that weak.

Then he was on Saturday Night Live recently and it was so fucking unfunny I was stunned... even by SNL's low standards in recent years.

Schimid Demitri Martin is the "this is where my jokes come from" guy.

Ziggy, yeah, that's the guy I was talking about. Walter is my favorite puppet though.

Did The Amazing Johnathan place at all? I used to love that guy.

Immortal Goat I like the ventriliquist. Usually, ventriliquism puts you in comedy hell, but he is able to do it well.

Gaffigan was hilarious, as always, and then there was that wierd guy that did the musical number "This is the place where my jokes come from". I liked him, too. I was tired, though, and maybe that added to the comedy.

In case you can't tell from my lack of well structured sentences, but I'm still tired. I hate being sick
Jan 30th, 2006 01:03 PM
Emu He was on last night.

My girlfriend complains about them because you can kind of see his mouth moving, but you're supposed to be looking at the fucking puppet when he's doing its voice, not him.

There was this one ventriloquist guy I thought was hilarious when I was younger. He had a puppet named Peanut and a Jalapeno Pepper (On A Stick).

His name is Jeff Dunham (had to look it up).

xbxDaniel He's very aggressive in his act. He forces his jokes upon the audience. They're usually vulgar too, but some of his stuff his funny. He has no subtelty though.
