It is not intended that way. Do you live in your hometown? I do not. Some people date people from their hometowns, but for people who travel, one hs to meet new women; it is not as if I come to a new place and know everyone, and so I want to meet new people and obviously want to date someone. So you meet as many people as you can, and from there gather some sort of idea of what is going to happen. I met my current girlfriend after a few weeks of searching for the right one, and I would not have met her unless it was my goal to go out and meet women. That's how it goes. |

It is good to find common ground.... Just find anything to talk about. It is the simplest thing ever -- if you smile and say something that is not about their tits, you will go far. "Hey, we smoke the same cigarette..." "I think this band sucks." "Hey what drink is that?" If their reply is anything more than one word or there is any hint of a smile, you're golden. --- Picking women up is like going to bat in baseball. A great guy at picking woen up is going to still bat only .350, at mos; most guys bat somewhere around what? .280? And it is also like baseball in that... If you swing for the fence, you're going to have a lot of fly outs and it isn't going to get you far. You'll get homeruns more often, of course, but it is not going to exactly be conducive. Just swing the bat at any ball that looks good enough to hit. And then remember what is and what isn't in your reach; I do not go looking for beauty queens and hip hop girls, why? It would make no sense. I go for girls with similar interests and who are in the same league as me. But enver be shy. Shy can never be in the equation. You will never get a hit if you don't swing the bat -- once in a while you get on base by getting walked, but you aren't Brad Pitt, obviously, and it is not as if women fall into your lap. I make my efforts, I plant my seeds, I do not force or expect, and I have my success. |

Usually it's best not to come out straight with a "would you like to be my girlfriend?" or "Want to go on a date?". I've found it easier to build a relationship when you ask the girl to go with you and some friends to a movie, restraunt, etc. Build some sort of strong foundation for a serious relationship. That being said, I'm not a reliable source for this topic. There, a serious reply. Don't complain when this thread goes to shit now. |

serious question need advice okay, please someone give me some advice. I need to know the best way to ask a girl out. I always get the "lets just be friends but never talk again " speech. It also doesnt help that im extremely shy. So how should i go about this? |
