| ArrowX | at my dollar store you get escorted outside (after a pocket check) by the rent-a-cops if your inside longer that 10 minutes wihtout buying something. The staff is all female too. | |

| Emu | It's not so much that I live in a dead-end town as it is that I'm trying to save money on commutes. The town I live in is small, but we're relatively close to a large city (Peoria.) It would still be a 20 minute drive to get to any job I get in Peoria, on top of the half-hour drive it takes to get to my college. So I've been trying to get a job as close to my house as possible, and DG is only about a block away. | |

Two things disturb me. One, now that you mention it there are no male employees of any dollar store I've ever been to (dollar tree, dollar general, etc.). Two...there's a fucking background check to work at the dollar store? |

I just applied for a job, and when I went into my interview the manager who happened to be from eastern europe said "Hey, you're good friend of these two guys, they're good guys, so I'm not going to bother with doing interview here, when can you start?" It was a bit ridiculous I thought. That's really weird about the sexist dollar store though, it's not like your applying to be a server at a diner or anything. |

Dollar General is a damn good start for a psycology major. Really isn't there anything else in your town? Also four-six weeks before summer is a great time to look for employment. I really wish you luck. |
