Supafly345 You are able to forget you set it ahead an hour too?
Apr 26th, 2006 03:35 PM
Fathom Zero Yeah, I have the same problem, which is why I set my clock an hour ahead. I go to bed an hour early and wake up an hour early.
Unless I leave my alarm off, in which case I am more likely to wake up at around 1:30.

Fooling Your Sleep Clock

So usually when I have a day off, I have the wonderful habit of ensuring that I don't wake up before 2 in the afternoon at the earliest. Not even the intervention of my girlfriend shaking me in the morning and saying "Wake up, I'm bored" seems to rouse me from sleep before then.

However last night we had some badass storm pass through and it knocked out the power to the house and when I woke up this morning I see my clock flashing "12:00" and of course it was dark outside so I'd thought I'd actually slept much later than usual since it was almost pitch black.

The point is, I was wide awake and had no problems staying awake until I'd indeed found out it was actually only 9 o'clock in the morning. It seemed like I was awake and full of energy simply until I found out it was only nine in the morning and once that happened, I was so tired I almost passed right back out.

Does anyone else have a similar problem? Tiredness due primarily only to the time of day you think it is when you wake up?

It seemed like the only reason I wanted to stay up was because I thought I slept late, like until 5 in the evening, and I sure felt like I had a good amount of sleep until I found out how early it was.
