mburbank My house was okay, but I spent much of the night fighting the water level in my Mother in laws basement last night. Schools are closed, but the train was running fine, so I'm in. I'm on vacation next week so I have way to much to do to miss time right now.

I have lived on the north shore most of my life, and this is as bad as I've seen it. Thank Christ I live at the top of a hill. At the bottom of that hill is Canal street, which once was a cnal, and large parts of it are again.

That being said, the neighboring town of peabody has it about twice as bad. Oh, and during high tide, nothing drains at all because the storm drains are largely FULL OF THE OCEAN!

Geggy, are you dry? He lives in Salem too.
