| Mike | That's pretty much it but I thought a hollaback girl was basically a prostitute, because they get repeatedly called upon for their services and they have to comply even if they don't feel like it. I dunno. |

My mom had a boyfriend with a nose ring, and the answer to that question is "Just like everyone else, but sometimes a little snot gets stuck on the ring." As for hollaback girl, Urban Dictionary has this to say: A holla back girl is a member of a cheerleading squad who repeats – hollers back - words that the squad leader shouts out to them. For example at a Pep Rally, cheerleaders might shout out “S-P-I-R-I-T” and the squad leader asks “What does that spell?” and the holla back girls respond – hollering back “SPIRIT”. In the context of Gwen Stefani’s song “Hollaback Girl”, the term also refers to a girl who has heard about some guy talking bad about her and she isn’t just going to take it – she is going to be the leader, take charge and put an end to his verbal “cheerleading”. ~RELATED DEFINITION~ A girl that is willing to be treated like a doormat or booty call. She is a girl that will allow guys to do whatever they want with her and will just wait for them to 'holla back' at them. |

Questions from my family My wife and youngest daughter both asked me questions recently that I didn't have the answers for, so I thought I'd oass them on to you all. While I appreciatte joke responses, I'm also actually looking for the answers. From my wife: What is a 'Hollowback Girl'? The phrase might be 'Holla-back' or some other way of spelling it, but the singer 'ain't no'. From my daughter Cordelia: How do people who have nose rings blow their noses? I don't want speculation on that one, I want first person info from people who have nose rings. |
