I assume your system would be better equipped to handle IE than Firefox because it's proprietary Microsoft shit. That is probably why it goes faster, but I'm guessing. Also, Firefox is better equipped to run on Linux distros than IE. Way better.

there's silly nerd sites where they recorded the loading times of the various browsers/versions and they've often found that ie goes 50 miliseconds or so faster than firefox. Now this might seem insignificant now but think about it every twenty webpages you look at you're wasting a second of your life.

Same here. If IE 7 has the same features as Firefox, then why would I want to switch? And don't tell me "it's faster", because I have yet to see any solid numbers backing up that claim.

I don't see how anyone can use IE. It's just too clunky and slow for me. I've been using Firefox/Mozilla for almost 3 years and I have never had one single problem with it.
