I downloaded it today and it turns out it does work! :o

Esuohlim A simple "no" would have been better than that trainwreck of an answer.
Jan 12th, 2007 12:23 PM
QuiambaoROX yes you can change the battery but the saved file would be erased.
Jan 10th, 2007 08:41 AM
the_dudefather if you wanted to change the battery is it possible without losing the save anyway?

eggyolk i was wondering why this happened to my gold cartridge. i had mastered the game and went back recently to see my work. gone. all gone. then i tried to start a new game, to start fresh on my escapades, beat the first gym, got bored and saved. then i came back only to find that it didnt and wont save.

Jan 7th, 2007 10:05 PM
ArrowX yes the DS's internal batteries die and you won't be able to play Pokemon anymore
Jan 7th, 2007 09:08 PM
Microshock wow.....do the gba and ds do that to?

Jan 7th, 2007 12:45 PM

every game where you have to hold reset when you turn the power off on NES has one, for starters

unless you meant that you've never heard of them being for sale, in which case me neither
Jan 7th, 2007 04:17 AM
Fathom Zero Mine still works. The save is still there after all this time. This thread made me start a new game, though.

Maybe it's the 7 trips through the washing machine that keeps it working.
Jan 6th, 2007 09:47 AM
GADZOOKS Or you could buy the game again, probably for less then doing something Stupid suggests.

No you're giving me too much credit. I didn't even know there was a battery in the cartridge.

Of course when I thought about it afterwards I realized something must be keeping the game clock running.
Jan 6th, 2007 01:45 AM
Shifty i noticed that to with my peckermon games.

Zomboid ROMS! Btw, last time I checked mine, my save file from when it first came out was still there.

Edit: It's gone
