I have a 1970-74(?) model vintage Ampeg Bass Head (all tubed) that I I bought off of a guy in Lafayette. It was his father's (who was like 80) and he only played steel guitar through it. He said he never had turned it up passed halfway and kept it in the house. I bought it for $150 . You can barely buy a good delay pedal for that these days!

I play guitar and I love this amp. Bass players hated it back in the 70s because after you turn it up about halfway or so, it has this natural distortion/overdrive that it produces. Thus bass players would get butthurt cause they don't like that. I lub it. I'm actually playing it right now.

Best equipment find. Ever.

Optimistic Socks Haven't gotten any of THOSE in, though I did find 2 huge EV PA Speakers, a 1/4 inch tape recorder with Speakers and mic, plus about a dozen Karaoke Machines ranging from 8-Track to Cassette to CD.

Optimistic Socks Its not that easy making a living off of Ebay, anything thats even slightly worth something is hard to get out, they watch for it, it's usually just the unique or odd stuff, or stuff nobody but me (And every person who reads I-Mockery no doubt) would find interesting.

Optimistic Socks Probably the weirdest thing I've found of late was an old microwave, when I opened it up it had a T-shirt in it with the name "Dean" on it...If anyone named Dean reads this, we have your shirt!

Sam That 8 track probably said "GLORY TO ALLAH" and some terrorist left it to be recycled.

For Anyone Who Has Wanted To Smash Their Computer...

While most of you have no doubt one time or another gotten so fed up with your Computer, your monitor, your Microwave, your fridge, a slot machine, anything electronic, I for one at least have a way to deal with such things.

I work for an Electronic Recycling Center, we basically get tons and tons of old, used, and sometimes new electronic doo-dads and whatsits shipped to us every week and we take them apart, sort them into their recyclable materials and ship them off to be re-used.

You'd be amazed at some of the weird, disgusting and strange things people just decide to get rid of. In the last week I've taken apart:

-A Bunch of Microwaves
-Tons of computers
-An Old Intellivision
-An N64 With what appears to be hammer marks on the top
-Some Broken Slot machines that nobody had bothered to check very well for money, so I made a small fortune in..ahem.."tips"
-An 8-Track player with a sticker on the side that read "GLORY TO AL-" (I think the other L was ripped off)
-A Box of Games for said Intellivision, which are now sitting on a shelf in my house
-A perfectly working portable heater
-A scanner with a picture still in it depicting a group of people apparently dancing...or convulsing
-A Lot more.

At least once a week I come across something which is pretty damn unique/interesting/worthy of note. Maybe to offer some amusement to all who can't seem to to find enough of it in I-Mockery to begin with, I'll try to get a picture or two and show something off each week.

Or Maybe I won't...I dunno, I have a horribly short attention span.
