WHAT?? I <3 my dreamcast.. Original Soul Caliber came out on it. Along with the RPG of Mega Man, Dead or Alive, and the cool characters on the controller I dunno myn has gone through hell and back, I have used pirates to make me copies of games and it has never done any damage. I have heard of things going wacky but my friends ps2 would only play on its side. My old xbox first time I played it brand new out of the box, gave me errors. So I think any console can be fucked. Except the atari! IT WILL NEVER DIE EVER! |

Fire Pro Wrestling D SUCKS. And yeah, the dreamcast kinda does too. All things considered. Almost all of the games are terrible and have ridiculous camera controls. |

I just saw "damaged", "burnt", and "Dreamcast". To answer your question, no console in the history of disc-based systems has ever been physically damaged. There could be melicious code in the isos, but that hasn't happened on a Dreamcast to my knowledge. |

| the_dudefather | if your dreamcast beeps when you turn it on, that means it will explode if you play pirate games |

| BlueOatmeal | Well if a Dreamcast game image is super small and hasn't been dummied it can make the laser read the inner-ring of the disc and supposedly that can damage the drive. |

The Reason I am asking is because The Original Dreamcast games are GD-ROM format (Think something between a CD and a DVD and you got it) and forcing a Dreamcast to Read CDs as a GD-Rom could potentially damage the Lazer. But i think it should be fine. But if I can, I will try to Get a Second one, as Backup. |

| Supafly345 | I would really like to know how a normal disk could ever damage your dreamcast. |

| BlueOatmeal | I have over 300 "back-up" games that I've played on my Dreamcast for over 4 years and its still fucking kicking it fantastic. |

| Supafly345 | If by 'burned' you mean still on fire yes. |

A question about The Dreamcast. Im thinking about buying a Dreamcast for some games (Mostly Imports like Fire ProWrestling D) but my main question is this. Does playing Burnt Commercial Dreamcast games damage the console? If I do buy one, its gonna be hell for me to get a second one. Thanks in advance. |
