Finally got it called and they're going to replace it. Should get a new one in a few days. The niceness of the consumer rep has restored my faith in Nintendo. |

Emu | We tried that. Looked for packaging discs, screws, paper, plastic, blood, nothing. |

AChimp | It would be LOL if the Wii had one of those packing drive protector disks in it. |

Emu | It's brand new, so it's still under the warranty, but I'm having a hell of a time getting through the phone lines. |

Would something like that cost an arm and a leg without the warranty? I know that one of my friend's hinges on his DS broke and they charged him fifty bucks to fix it. I couldn't imagine what a Wii would cost to fix, (depending on the problem, of course.) |

You shouldn't have to push the disc in, the Wii should just pull it out of your hand when you use a little pressure. Not saying that you BROKE IT OH GOD, just in the future don't try to cram it in the system if it isn't taking it. If you send the system to Nintendo, you'll likely get a new one back in 1-2 weeks, depending on how you shipped it. They're good like that. |

david46 | Well, I saw some merchants selling Wii online although stocks are still very limited in most sellers especially from the reputable ones. If you intend to buy one then you should not waste time. |

Emu | That's the plan. It still took 6 months to find the stupid thing. |

Mockery | Fuck repairs, can't you just return it to the store for a new one since you just bought it? |

Wii Woes So my aunt calls us up today and says she finally found a few Wiis for sale at a game shop, and she picks one up for us. We get it home and get it all hooked up, connected to the internet, etc. We try to insert Wii Sports and the tiny machine emits a teeth-grindingly loud buzz as it tries (and fails) to accept the disc. I inserted the game as far as I could into the machine, but to no avail, and I ended up having to pull the disc out with my fingernails. I also tried inserting a Gamecube game, thinking that since it's much smaller it may fit better, but experience the same problem. Nintendo tells me the console is physically damaged and will require a repair. FUCK |
