J. Tithonus Pednaud Are you certain it's not a Queen tribute? A rousing version of 'The Show Must Go On', perhaps?

That and a scene where Bennet dances to showtunes in his chainmail vest.

RaNkeri Well that's what think it would be.

RaNkeri Well, It basically contains scenes that were "too macabre".

For example, after cutting the soldier's arm with a machete, Arnold swings the arm at the crying soldier, finishing the act with "Shut up!" one liner.

But basically I'd be happy with the 90 minutes version too, because I was slightly disappointed when I noticed that the DVD I got wasn't the same version I had on VHS.

Protoclown The Director's Cut is only 5 minutes longer though? And somehow that five minutes makes all the difference to the director's "vision"? If it were like 20 minutes, I'd be stoked, but five?

Fox has announced a director's cut of Commando which stars Arnold Schwarzenegger. The disc will be available to own from the 18th September, and should retail at around $19.98. As well as the original theatrical cut (90 minutes), the set will include an all-new seamlessly branched unrated version (95 minutes) as envisioned by director Mark L. Lester. Each version of the film will be presented in 1.85:1 anamoprhic widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround track. Extras will include an audio commentary on the theatrical cut by director Mark Lester, deleted scenes, a Pure Action featurette, a Let Off Some Steam featurette, and 4 photo galleries with over 150 images (Creating Commando, Domestic Bliss with John and Jenny, Kill Arnold, Kill!, and Trashing the Galleria).
We don't just get the original version, but a never-seen-before version too!
Also, can't wait to see the features and view those screen shots.
