My friend and I got into Mageknight and Warhammer, just because it was fun to paint them and set them up. No desire to really play the game. Also, don't forget funyuns and cheetos. |

Yes  Also, Warhammer 40K (the future one) was made into a kickass strategy game, and Warhammer (the boring fantasy one) was made into a cruddy RTS, and soon to be a cruddy MMO. |

True. Elves, Orcs, Humans, Undead, etc are nothing new, but Blizzard didn't even try for some diversity. Not to mention, Christ, the protoss even look exactly like the Tau, blue wrinkled faces and all. |

Starcraft II I loved the original as a kid, and I'll probably get this... but after I discovered Warhammer, it's apparent these are poorly disguised copies. I think I read that Blizzard was first contracted to make a Warhammer game. Zerg = Tyranids Protoss = Tau Terran = Space Marines, except rednecks The same was true for the Warcraft series, but they've really branched out, especially with WoW. They've already ripped the Dreadnought and Jetpack Marine concepts for this new one. Can they really make this their own game, or will it be a more popular, less good version of Dawn of War? |
