I mentioned the Turbo Tunnel warp already. Also I abandoned Battletoads for a while and went for Ghosts n Goblins. I got to level 2's first checkpoint. |

Turbo tunnel is one of the easier stages in battletoads, and I can beat it on an emulator without savestates pretty handily. It's much harder on an NES controller, though, since you can't push down without letting go of up first. Also, there's a really easy warp to get to from the snake pit if it's giving you that much trouble. And come to think of it, there's a really easy warp to get to from the turbo tunnel during that final run, so really now, MAN UP. |

Guitar Woman | Oh and also Snake Pit keeps glitching me into oblivion, so I think I need to switch emulators or something |

Guitar Woman | You can beat turbo tunnel without savestates and skip the Ice Cavern if you find the warp in the last part of the level :< |

Man, NES Battletoads is fucking unplayable. I got to the end of one of the portions of Snake Pit, and I jumped DIRECTLY at the "out" hole, and I fell right past it. I tried going into it from 5 alternate angles before deciding that this was again that stupid glitch where stuff becomes ETHEREAL and you can't interact with it at all But I can't get past Clinger Winger 2.0 on the other one so yeah :[ |

WhiteRat | I think you might be thinking of Super Ghouls N' Ghosts, which don't get me wrong is extremely difficult, but it isn't as ridiculous as the one for NES. |

CaptainBubba | I beat Ghosts N' Goblins when I was 11 years old on my SNES. It gave me the "redo the game pls" ending and I was like WTF and turned it off and played mega man x. |

Christ was Battletoads a bitch of a game. I don't personally know anyone that has beaten the NES version. Nor have I ever heard of anyone legitimately beating Ghosts N' Goblins either. |

Haha, the NES version is piss easy in comparison to what I've seen of Battlemaniacs :< I'm on level 6 (the snakes again), I like it a lot better :< |

BATTLETOADS This game is IMPOSSIBLE :< ![]() I'm playing Battlemaniacs now, because out of all the console versions it's by far my favorite. The NES original is awesome, too, but I fucked it up by switching a bunch of cheats on and now it just restarts me whenever I finish the first level. ANYWAY. By the time I got to the Turbo Tunnel in Battlemaniacs, I realized it was basically the same as the NES version where it stops being a beat-em-up and becomes a series of insane obstacle courses where you need to memorize everything and have ridiculously good reflexes to pass, which put me down because the first two levels are awesome and gave me hope that it'd be more like the Arcade version, which I did beat with a friend one time. We spent 15 dollars! I got past the Turbo Tunnel after much cheating, and then with slightly less cheating beat the snake pit which is doable normally until the end where you have to jump your guy through an opening that's the exact same size as him and if you make one tiny miscalculation you die INSTANTLY and have to start all over again :< Now I'm on some rollercoaster type thing that's basically Clinger Winger from the first one (see pic) where I have to press in the direction of the track to outrun the crazy buzz-saw rat. Which seems reasonable, but the thing goes at the speed of fucking light and the track changes direction every 3 feet so I keep getting cut in half by the motherfucker :< This series has no fucking mercy. I will beat it. :< |
