MarioRPG | Then why did Nintendo give out plastic/rubber covers?

Guitar Woman | I thought constantly pointing the remote at the screen to aim would hurt my arm really bad, but after a day or two of Metroid Prime 3 I can play for hours and hours and hours without wearing out. It might have something to do with the fact that I take an extremely relaxed position lying on the couch when I play, I don't know.

DuFresne | If the shooting game in Super Paper Mario is any indication, using the "naked" remote to shoot makes my wrist hurt pretty quickly. That's the main reason I want a gun thingy, but i need to make sure it's not going to suck too hard in other ways.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnInI...eature=related This one by Piranha looks to be one of the better third-party ones out there. Still a bitch to hit the remote face buttons, but eh ![]() |

Fathom Zero | That would be cool, but naw. I saw it in Game Informer's Photophile this month. It's the game that comes with the Zapper, so I never expected a lot. Looks somewhat cool.

I've heard UBC is getting a lot of flack actually. I'll probably rent it. House of the dead 2 and 3 will be fun. As for a full fledged "Link's", which I Think is what you're saying Fathom, that would be cool. Like, a short adventure with nothing but the crossbow, ala Four Swords. |

Personally, I can't wait for "Link's Crossbow Training," which totally isn't some sort of minigame. Seriously, this looks bomb for Umbrella Chronicles. I think I'll make my own, though. |

it's actually useful when trying to steady your aim. And there's a slew of games coming. Ghost squad is one of my arcade favs. I even got my mom to play it. So I'll defiantly pick that up. But games like metroid aren't really useful since you have to jump and use ther buttons. Link's crossbow training is a perfect fit. As for ergonomic-ness, I've found when in a rail shooter situation, it's easy to hold the trigger with your dominant hand and hold the back like the front of a shotgun with the other. Very comfy. Of course if you have to use the stick, you're stuck in the standard position. Standing up really helps though. |

MarioRPG | I heard the third party controllers have a better ergonomic set up.

Wii Zapper This thing is a little awkward to hold at first. It forces you to either pull the trigger with your non dominant hand and miss or switch your hand stance and feel a little uncomfortable in the shoulder. BUT after a while, especially if you're not using the control stick, it feels pretty natural. But all this thing does is basically keep the wiimote steady while you shoot. The Zelda game's pretty fun too. |
