ok so i gave this a go because, well, Pirates rule  so i knew i had to make my character as badass as possible, so...  NED IRONPAINE!!! so no surprises i'm woken up by the blocky computerised johnny depp. We break out of jail together, and i'm granted by the beautiful outdoors..  wow, what a view.. I decide to go where all pirates want to go when he's getting bombed and just broke out of prison. The local inn. But you get kicked out and slapped in like 3 minutes A few paces away and i get to go on a boat! Hooray! It has a cannon as well. I can't wait to set on on a magical adventu..  oh, ok. Well at least it's the beginning of the game so he can'y exactly kick me and my friends asses..  :holyshitthatlookspainful I closed down the game after that. I don't think i like this game |

Chojin: i played some of the pirates of the caribbean mmo today ItalianStereotype: how is it Chojin: it has a bunch of good ideas Chojin: and the music is great Chojin: you get a ship (small) really early and when you take off the theme starts blasting and I was all FUCK YES Chojin: however, I'm running a quad-core intel duo processor with one of the top 5 best 3d cards on the market Chojin: and have 2 gigs of high performance ram Chojin: and I was getting about 10 fps whenever I saw another player ItalianStereotype: jesus Chojin: and when I went in the bar, there was a fire hovering inexplicably in the air that when in view would drop my fps to about 1 Chojin: i also didn't realize that navy ships automatically fire on you, so I waded into an ocean of about 20 of them and got raped ItalianStereotype: you hadn't heard about air fire? that shit's hot right now ItalianStereotype: well that one is your own fault ItalianStereotype: come on, you're a pirate Chojin: well, i guess ItalianStereotype: I don't want to play it cause it's DISNEY Chojin: i was never told that Chojin: i guess i did break out of jail in the first scene, but 99% of games start that way so I guess I just filtered it out ItalianStereotype: I want to play a pirate game where I can rob and rape and run people through and leave no survivors ItalianStereotype: but it's DISNEY ItalianStereotype: so it's marshmallows and unicorns Chojin: yeah, and like TOONTOWN you can't name your own guy unless you submit it for approval Chojin: and you can only name your ship through pre-approved word segments ItalianStereotype: whaaaaat Chojin: which is honestly probably for the best in the latter case Chojin: but still, the character gen is pretty good and I was disappointed that I'd have to get Disney's OK to name my guy Captain Jean-Luc Picard Chojin: he looks just like him and has great adventures with johnny depp Chojin: the graphics would have been considered simple about 4 years ago, and it still runs like trash though Chojin: I have no idea how they pulled that off ItalianStereotype: it's disney and it's free? Chojin: it's free, unless you want to do anything Chojin: like use anything other than the sword and gun you start with Chojin: or want to use more ships Chojin: or want to get 60% more experience Chojin: or want to be able to log in without having to wait in a queue Chojin: or don't want to be constantly reminded that you should really pay them Chojin: or if you want to run it in fullscreen Chojin: or if you don't want it to show you ads all the time ItalianStereotype: they show ads?
