That's the thing, DBS are just a little too tame for me on this album, and this is coming from someone who has a sizeable emo collection. Rise against: not bad. I liked 88 Fingers Louie, but the angsty "fight the oppression" shit gets kind of old, and their suggested book list inside the CD pamphlet is amusing. They say something like "you can't fight unless you know," and then list off Michael Moore's website, and a Howard Zinn book, as if these were unblemished beacons of knowledge. (not that I don't like Zinn) |

Tradition As with most things, I must disagree with Kev. This album sort of turned me on to them. For me personally, I've gotten away from the metal edge and it's kind of refreshing. They are pretty intense live too. Anyone listen to Rise Against? Just curious. |
