Fat_Hippo Uhh, actually, though I see now it wasn't clear from my post, I was talking about Ultima VI, not Dosbox. By some strange twist of fate, I actually managed to find out how Dosbox works, and use it too. It's actually pretty simple once you know what to do.

No, but anyway, Ultima VI is the game that I still didn't get how to play after 10 minutes. Maybe I'm just not patient enough, but screw it.

Fathom Zero Use Windows 3.1. It's better.

Guitar Woman I can use dos fine, but it refuses to run half the games I play on it after beating it in the face with convoluted command lines for hours

executioneer and if that doesn't work can i suggest the SNES version of ultima 6

executioneer its like the creators of dosbox intended it for use by people who already know how to use DOS, more like

i tried downloading it, and in neither dosbox nor just double-clicking it in xp did it produce gibberish, maybe your download got corrupted somehow. try downloading it again.

Guitar Woman It's like the creators of Dosbox didn't intend it to be used by anyone

Fat_Hippo I tried this once. Didn't really get it though, so I stopped. In my opinion, if you still don't know how to do anything after 10 minutes, it's not worth playing

Guitar Woman I was thinking that, but if she's getting gibberish files instead of executables there's something wrong.

If you meant something different and are getting .exe's, just unpack everything to a folder, get DOSbox, and drag the main game file over the shortcut for it. It should work.

Please help me with an old game

http://www.abandonia.com/en/games/95

I loved this game when it came out, but when I download it, I can't make it run. I open the .zip files and all I see is gibberish and I don't know what to do. Can someone please help me? I've been able to make other old games run, but I'm not good with more complicated things.
