Sports games are fun. Especially for someone like you who probably wheezes after running to the fridge. When else will you be able to play basketball without dry heaving and heat stroke?

Cap'n Crunch
As of now I have NBA Jam, Yoshi's Island, 3 Ninjas, and Tecmo Super Bowl 3. I am getting some more today. I'll grab some of the games that you mentioned if they are not too much. I'm guessing these games pretty much go for Genesis too, I got one in today from McClain.

Les Waste There's a reason this thread went unreplied to for two weeks

snake Jurassic Park II and Contra spirits

Cap'n Crunch I found NBA Jam in my basement, and it is probably the best basketball game I ever played. You get to play as Air Dog and Bill Clinton.

JeefGyle DOGBALL!

Schimid If you can, try getting Looney Toons B-Ball

It's pretty cool. Like NBA Jam, but with powerups and whatnot.
May 7th, 2003 09:54 PM
Zomboid Yeah, admittedly, I was sorta into sports games on the genesis, but nba jam kicks ass. It was one of the best 2 player games.
May 7th, 2003 09:19 PM
Zbu Manowar NBA Jam rocks. I'm not a sports video game buff, but it somehow rocks without being completely fucking stupid. Plus the cheats make it AWESOME.

Les Waste I have NBA Hangtime for Nintendo 64. I didn't know it came out for SNES. It's pretty much exactly the same as NBA Jam, except with better graphics and more other crap.

and you HAVE to get Super Metroid. Super Metroid is one of the best games EVER, for ANY system.
May 7th, 2003 08:44 PM
Esuohlim All sports video games suck.

Are you getting Super Metroid? You had better get that one too.
May 7th, 2003 07:03 PM
Cap'n Crunch I found a whole mess of brand new SNES games for 10 bucks, they aren't even opened. Is Hangtime any good? It is a basket ball game. The only basketball game I played so far was NBA Jam, which is a good basketball game, well, that is what I think. So, can someone tell me if NBA Hangtime is any good, or does it suck?

Spectre X Mortal Kombat III motherfuckers

Schimid Rocky The Rodent, man. It's all about the hair.

What, no one remembers it? :/

timrpgland It is always best playing on your actual console. Who would get rid of their snes anyway?
May 6th, 2003 07:20 PM
FlakTrooper I have just a gravis gamepad. It has almost the same configuration of buttons as a snes controller and the shape of a ps1 controller. Its not the best, but it works well for the kinds of roms I play (space shooters, platformers, rpgs)
May 6th, 2003 06:11 PM
Zomboid I'll admit, I sometimes miss the old days of sitting on a comfy couch with a genesis controller in hand, but I'd never pay for something I can get for free just because it's a little more comfortable than my computer chair and 17 inch monitor.

On a side note: Does anyone know of a good controller for the PC?
May 6th, 2003 05:56 PM
whoreable all depends. if you have a big tv and a small monitor then it might be worth it. not to mention you can sit on a couch or floor when you are near the tv...a desk is a bit more uncomfortable. Also wiring up the controllers might be a bit hard for some people.
May 6th, 2003 05:54 PM
Zomboid I'm sorry, but paying for an old system and games when you can get them for free is just stupid. Especially since roms are actually better in some ways.
May 6th, 2003 05:52 PM
Grazzt If you paid money for Super Mario RPG, I'm laughing at you.

May 6th, 2003 05:30 PM
Cap'n Crunch I played Super Mario RPG on an emulator and it was great. I kicked the most ass with Mallow. I saw Breath of Fire 1 and 2 together for 100 bucks, and they were brand new. I'm guessing they are hard to find, but I am not dishing out that kind of cash for a SNES game. I am getting Zelda, Super Punchout, F-Zero, and Donkey Kong Country. I'll probably get some more games you guys mentioned, if they don't cost that much.
May 6th, 2003 11:23 AM
Esuohlim Get Earthbound and Super Mario RPG, and if you don't, you don't deserve to own an SNES.
May 6th, 2003 10:50 AM
timrpgland Some good ones were already mentioned, I'll name some others.

Rock n Roll Racing
Paladin's Quest
Breath of Fire 2
Castlevania Dracula X
Ogre Battle
Harvest Moon
Gradius 3
Flashback
Out of this World
Shadowrun
Super Mario RPG
Joe and Mac 1 & 2

and a bunch of others. The SNES is the best system ever made.

Spectre X Mortal Kombat III
