You mean the FPS Creator? Yeah, that thing blows in the extreme. I tried making a couple of levels with that when I was playing around with it, and when it wasn't crashing on me, it was pissing me off with it's bad interface. And it seemed impossible to make a level that didn't suck monkey balls with what you were given.

Yeah I mean to be fair, if he coded the engine and everything himself it's quite and impressive achievement for someone that young.

But as a game this if hilariously bad.

Wasn't there a game like this for the PSP? You had to infect a bunch of people with a virus or something?

DuFresne Just played it. My favorite part was when I got stuck in the middle of an empty hallway for 30 seconds.

Guitar Woman that game sucks, too

go play Pirates, Vikings and Knights like a real man.

Dr. Octogonopus Well, it looks like it would be a pretty fair mod for half-life. A bunch of the mods I downloaded for HL were so terrible I can't even begin.
On another note, why the hell won't Afraid of Monsters work for me?! I installed it where it needed to be, and then I get an error about it missing something.

Guitar Woman I like how it took longer to load the demo level then it did to play through it!

To be fair I've played worse games than this one, but not too many :<

I did sort of like the music, but I'm sure they stole that from somewhere else.

Emu Is this one of those games that started as a class project?
Apr 10th, 2008 09:08 PM
Guitar Woman Uh, Half-Life looked about 10 times better, and that's without the hi-def pack ;<
Apr 10th, 2008 09:00 PM
Dr. Octogonopus Yeah, but they did an awesome job with the textures. Skins are looking pretty good, too.
Apr 10th, 2008 08:59 PM
Guitar Woman Awesomely tweaked? The thing runs at 5 FPS for god's sake
Apr 10th, 2008 08:49 PM
Dr. Octogonopus This looks like it's made with a really awesomely tweaked half-life engine in a lot of parts. In some parts it looks good, then other parts (like the crappy looking zombies and soldiers) it makes me angry about how so many people mess of the zombie genre.

GADZOOKS I don't like Frank Zappa but I bet he would make some great audiosurf levels.

I play it one a week, its not completely addictive but every once in a while I hear a cool song and boot it up.

Apparently there was a thread about it, but it was buried because audiosurf doesn't have anime in it or a 3D city to explore so

executioneer i got the demo and two of the tracks i played were the first and second halves of zappa's lumpy gravy, and with all the crazy tempo changes i was busting out laughing at how spastically the track was moving

MetalMilitia The demo mission lasts about 3 minutes, so my guess is 1-2 hours is quite an ambitious figure.
