T-Rex The Spider is really cool. One of Alfa's newer cars, the Competizione, is really suave looking. I can see it as the next Bond car.

Sethomas Eh. My hope is that by the time Alfa Romeo starts re-importing to the US, I might be able to afford to get their schnazzy Spiders.

10,000 Volt Ghost I had a '90 civic hatchback that lasted 240,000 miles before ithe clutch finally went. Now have a focus hatchback, it's pretty good.

Evil Robot They released that in 2006 in Europe only. They perform final assembly of the American cars in Ohio, while the European cars are made in the UK (thats why you got it cheap there). I would imagine their Ohio plant hasn't paid off enough yet to warrant tearing the machines apart and changing them, which costs hundreds of millions of dollars to do. Theres also the fact that the new body style can't possibly pass American crash standards as the front bumper is way to high.

I've also heared that "they" say that Americans don't like hatchbacks. "They" base this on the decline of sales during the SUV craze of the late 90's.

Mockery Good choice. We bought a new Honda Civic not too long ago (as did Protoclown) and the car is great. Hoping it will last as long as, if not longer than our previous one from '91 which we recently sold. It may have been almost 20 years old with 180,000+ miles on it, but it made it across the entire country no problemo when we moved out here and was still running aok for our drives around town. Hooray Honda. :O

Honda Civic - The European Version & The American One

Guys, if you remember I was looking for a new car and in the end settled with a Honda Civic. My cousin from Toronto came to visit England last week and was blown away by it. I thought it was pretty wierd because I know the Civic is a model available in the States and Canada. He told me that your Civic looks way different. He seemed so impressed with it I thought some of you guys may like to see it. The American car seems a lot more sensible in comparison to the Euro version.

I remember when it came out, I couldn't get over the triangular exhausts at the back and the digital speedometer on the dash. If you look at the dashboard shot, you can see a red button on the far right. That's a start button as seen in the Honda S2000. Some other features of the European Civic include "magic seats" in the rear, that not only lay flat to increase boot capacity, but also allow the seat bench to lift up and lay flat against the back rests to create a large loading area in the back behind the front seats. If you look at the side shot, the car looks like a two door, but it's actually a four door. The back door handles are found at the far back corner of the window area. Makes it look sporty while still remaining practical.

The pictures aren't of my Civic, I bought a black one.
