| ItalianStereotype | apparently a lot of male strippers are fire fighters, because "is it hot in here or is it just them?" apparently. |

| Schimid | I think your mental anguish comes from within. Just think, ask yourself: "Why do I fight these fires? What am I running from?" |

| WhiteRat | If you are having doubts about your current career, make like botox and inject yourself into an exciting new profession. |

| Esuohlim | You should write a book about your firefighting experience instead! Call it something like "Firefight The Good Fight: My Life Fighting Fires by ARMYFIREFIGHTER the Firefighter" and then talk about all the fires you've fought while firefighting. |

| 10,000 Volt Ghost | I'd say go with EMT. I feel like EMT would be a viable career option well into older age. Unless you want to shoot for Fire Chief. |

| Kitsa | It's not a big leap to being an EMT-P if you are more interested in the medical side of it. |

if you had to start over... ok so my contract is runnign out with the company I am with, and I need to find another Job in the next few months. I am kinda at a cross roads here, I am not sure I want to keep fire fighting, or go back to school for something else. I have my MGIB still that I have to start using by march, so school is a option, I still like firefighting, but I find myself more and more intrested in the medical aspect rather than the Fire aspect of the job. so put yourself in my shoes, do I go back to school and start over, ingoring my career for the last 12+ years, or do I continue with the fight to get a permnate fire gig somewhere? |
