Last time I went to the GM plant in Detroit I stopped a what I thought was a pizza place. I asked for two slices and the guy looked at me like I'm crazy. He told me if I only wanted two slices I would have to got to the liqour store next door. I went to the liqour store and sure enough there was more pizza. Oh, and it smelled bad, yes. |

THE EARLY 1940'S SMELLED LIKE BURNING FLESH, DECOMPOSING BODIES, AND GAMMA RADIATION. Enough said. |

| Pram Maven | I loved the 90's, even if they did smell kinda homeless. By contrast, 2K-thru-8 has reeked of the arid stench of angsty alternative, repackaged as teen pop. | |

Nobody in the 80's had a sense of smell....the cocaine corroded away their nasal linings. On an unrelated note, Sarah Palin inspired me to check out the Barracuda videos by Heart, and I think that band might be solely responsible for the hole in the ozone layer. |

| Emu | I like to imagine that the 1920s smelled like fine French perfume and cocaine. | |
