You either drink water before you go to sleep or when you wake up in the morning. Cranberry juice helps out a spectacular amount - personal experience from being at the bar till 4am and then work at 8am for most of 2006.

I think you have to drink when you have the hangover the next day. The girl asked me to name two ways to help a hangover. My first answer was "Don't get drunk" and the other was "asprin", which she said kind of worked because you drink water to take down asprin. I don't actually (I prefer to swallow pills dry).

b vitamins and potassium is what you need. so get a huge revive vitamin water and eat a couple bananas. oh and take 2 advil, too. k bye bye.

Really? Water to cure a hangover? This is some cutting edge info :O
I tried some of those pills that you can get at GNC and those other supplement stores, but I honestly can't remember if they worked. Sometimes, when I really overdo it with water drinking before bed when I'm drunk, I have to get up to pee and/or puke a whole lot.

I was told by a girl running a booth at a Wellness Fair that drinking water the day after you were drunk helps a hangover.
