Jeanette X I rather liked this one:

Quote:
"Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind. And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader and gladly so. How do I know? For this is what I have done. And I am Caesar." - - Ask Barbra Streisand who the hell said this. I don't know. I think it was Don Knotts.
So who exactly is Neil Bortz? The name is vaguely familiar to me...

As for the quotes which were presumably supposed to be anti-volunteerism, would this mean that you are against drafting people into the military, Vince?

AChimp Oh, Vince is standing in some kind of Square, alright. Except he's only trying to attract attention, not spread the Word.

Vince, next time you use the on-line dictionary, look up "Hubris". To compare what you do on the Internet to that guy in Tianamen Square is like comparing a spastic siezure to Fred Astaire.

mburbank I was going to make a joke about standing up in a fish tank, but Bennet's joke was better.

Bennett More like the lab rat that keeps trying to take the electrified cheese.

VinceZeb Just consider me the guy standing up to the tank in the Square.

Zero Signal Max made me

Vince, give up; the juggernaut is just too powerful.

mburbank He's no longer giving out seals for mocking Vince, and I support his decision.

I would however, like to get my "Shooting Fish In barrel" merit badge. I'll sew it on my sash right next to "Beating dead Horses".

mburbank Just about anyone who says things you believe is saying it better than you could ever dream of.

VinceZeb I'm not a mouthpiece. I'm just smart enough to realize that there are people who say things that I believe better than I could ever dream about.

mburbank You make a lovely mouthpiece, but unless you have a spit valve, I think you might explode.

I'll read it though. I read Boortz reguoarly to find out what you think.
