Tadao | So this tree lung thing seems to be in the news today. I wanna see the xrays before I even consider believing it.

Withholding sex is stupid. It leads to everyone being bitchy. I distinctly remember a study a few years ago that said women who allow seminal fluid to be deposited in their vaginas are happier. And for once, I'm serious. |

executioneer | it doesn't really SEEM like a tabloid, but it is a russian news site, so i'd still doubt the truthfulness of it quite a handful

If it were December, I'd wonder if it got there because there was a colony of tiny people living in those lungs celebrating Christmas. ![]() |

Colonel Flagg | I remember reading about people who actually extrude metallic filaments from their skin - the medical community was skeptical, but apparently there is a plausible etiology behind it. However, pork out of a buttcheek ... hmmm ... I'm betting against an intraspecies extrudate.

Kitsa | Wasn't there a lady back in the mid-90s who inexplicably had a pork chop bone embedded in a buttcheek? I remember a radio interview with her where she claimed she never sat on one.

I wrote about Dede the Tree Man and Ralph Krooner, a gentleman from the 50's with the same condition in treatment, over on my blog way back when Tree Man was just hitting the news. You can see the impact Dede's isolation had on the progress of the condition. http://thehumanmarvels.com/?p=136 I've come across people growing horns, people covered with moss and fungus, people infested with insects and maggots and even people with masses of vegetation removed from their intestine. Hell, I've seen cases of fetus in fetu - where a malformed being has resided in the abdomen or cranium of a sibling for decades. |

Holy heck, I never saw treeman before. He reminds me of the cast of Freaks! And wow, he swallowed a bud and that's how it got there? That's like something you tell a kid to scare them. "Careful if you swallow a seed Timmy, or it'll grow into a tree in your stomach!" |

I saw that too. Zom's right, the picture of treeman is old; he had reconstructive/removal surgery and can now use his hands. He still does not look "normal" but he can function in his society, which is a HUGE improvement. And, yes Willie, bathing in Compound W comes to mind when looking at his affliction. Ouch! And, on topic, I'm skeptical - a green pine tree inside a dark lung? ![]() |
